Meet Bonita

                            MEET BONITA

Knock knock

Who's there?

Bam

Bam, who?

No. It's pronounced bamboo.

Have you ever grown a plant ? if yes the you will know what im taking about, if not then listen closely.
Let me tell you about my dear daughter Bonita. Now, now...Bonita is my little lucky bamboo plant. Yes, I am a plant mom.
Bonita, is 3 years old. She loves water, but not too much and loves to bathe in the sun. She has a short height and is still growing.

The scientific name of my plant Bonita is Dracaena sanderianaCommon names include Sander's dracaena, ribbon dracaena, lucky bamboo, curly bamboo, Chinese water bamboo, Goddess of Mercy's plant, Belgian evergreen. It is also called ribbon plant. Although Boita is a called a bamboo in several of its common names, D. sanderiana is of an entirely different taxonomic order from true bamboos.

It belongs to kingdom plantae and from phylum angiosperm. It is a monocot plant, no doubt because of its venation.
Dracaena sanderiana is a popular houseplant. It is a suitable plant in a confined space, and the most suitable place is a scattered light or semi-shade site because direct sunlight causes yellowing and burning of leaves.
Bonita does not need soil or fertilizer to grow. In fact, it will be just fine in distilled or purified water.

There is quite a symbolism to this plant, Two stalks represent love. Three stalks represent Fu which means happiness, Lu which is wealth, and Soh means long life. Five stalks represent balance, peace, harmony, and power in all areas of your life. Six stalks represent good luck and wealth. It is also said that luck bamboo attracts positive energy.

Would you consider buying a plant like Bonita ?
